How To Deal With Bossy People

There are many types of ‘difficult people’ that you come across in your life, the toughest being the bossy ones. They are dominating in nature and want everyone to follow their words and often try to impose their will. When somebody tries to negate their statements, they usually become offensive and start behaving rudely. Bossy people not only attract hatred from everyone around them, but are also a source of frustration for those who suffer at their hand. Dealing with bossy people seems to be very difficult. If you have also encountered bossy people and are looking for tips on how to deal with them, this article will come handy.

How To Deal With Bossy People

Be Kind
The very first step to tackle bossy people is to be very kind to them. It may sound unusual, but it surely works. He/she will probably expect you to react with anger, but do it the other way around. Treat such people with kindness. By reacting in the opposite way, you will force them to reconsider their behavior.

Address Him/her
Do not ignore what the bossy person says. Rather, appreciate the person’s point of view, but state that you will still prefer to do things your own way. At the same time, while addressing a bossy person's offensive behavior, be gentle, yet firm.

Release Your Frustrations
When a person gets bossy and tries to impose his/her will on you, you may get annoyed by the behavior and feel frustrated. This may result in the onset of negative feelings and you might end up losing your self-esteem. Release all your frustrations, because negative thoughts can become a source of stress.
Be Assertive
Bossy people have the intension to influence you with their perceptions. Make it very clear that you are not intended towards changing your behavior for their sake. Your self-confidence will help a great deal. Once they observe that you are very confident and surefooted on your thought, they will back off eventually.
Say It Politely
Tell the bossy person, in a gentle manner, how you feel when he/she tries to control you. Convey your feelings honestly. Let such people know that rude comments hurt your feelings. Bringing this fact to their attention will force them to give a second thought to what they say or how they act.

Respect Them
Everyone seeks respect, isn’t it? So, why should the bossy people be left out? Agreed; their attitude sets a negative tone and may even ruin your relationship with them. However, there is no need to be rude to them. Treat them with respect. Your positive attitude may put an end to their bossy behavior.

Rules of Weight Loss

Rules of Weight Loss

To lose one pound of fat, you must burn approximately 3500 calories over and above what you already burn doing daily activities. That sounds like a lot of calories and you certainly wouldn't want to try to burn 3500 calories in one day. However, by taking it step-by-step, you can determine just what you need to do each day to burn or cut out those extra calories. Below is a step by step process for getting started.

  1. Calculate your BMR (basal metabolic rate). Your BMR is what your body needs to maintain normal functions like breathing and digestion. This is the minimum number of calories you need to eat each day. Keep in mind that no calculator will be 100% accurate, so you may need to adjust these numbers as you go along.

  2. Calculate your activity level. Use a calorie calculator to figure out how many calories you burn while sitting, standing, exercising, lifting weights, etc. throughout the day. It helps to keep a daily activity journal or you could even wear a heart rate monitor that calculates calories burned.

  3. Keep track of how many calories you eat. You can use a site like Calorie Count or use a food journal to write down what you eat and drink each day. Be as accurate as possible, measuring when you need to or looking up nutritional information for restaurants, if you eat out.

  4. Add it up. Take your BMR number, add your activity calories and then subtract your food calories from that total. If you're eating more than you're burning, (your BMR + activity is 2000 and you're eating 2400 calories) you'll gain weight. If you're burning more than you eat, you'll lose weight.

How old is the tree?

How old is the tree?

Scientists have been studying trees for hundreds of years. They can tell the age of the tree, the climate, floods, insect-damage and even if there was a forest fire by examining the trees. Scientists call this area of study Dendrochronology. "Dendro-" is greek for tree. "Chron-" means time. And, "-ology" is the study of. Here is how they tell a tree's age.

  1. Step1

Look for a fallen tree nearby that is the same as the one you wish to know the age. Scientists use these statistics to avoid having to chop down and kill a tree. If the downed tree is similar in width and height, then it can be used to give a close estimate of age.

  2. Step2

Whorl around the tree. Another way to tell the age of some trees is to count the whorls around it. A whorl is the circular growth of branches in the same spot around the tree trunk. As the tree gets older, it will loose its whorls and markings will be left behind. Count from the bottom whorl up to tell how old it is.

  3. Step3

Drill a boring tool into the core of the tree to tell its age. A boring tool is a T-shaped tool with a long, thin hollow plug that drills into the tree to take a sample of the core. Scientists count the rings on the sample to determine the age of the tree and then cover the hole to keep the tree alive.

  4. Step4

Look out below. If a tree is cut down, look inside the core for circles. These are called annual circles. The circles start off very small in circumference and get larger with each ring.

  5. Step5

Count the rings of each annual circle. One ring represents one year of life for the tree. Begin with the innermost part of the core called the pith and count outward towards the bark.

  6. Step6

Learn the colors of the annual rings. Although there are different names, these spaces are commonly referred to as springwood and summerwood. The lighter color is the springwood and is usually wider. The dark circles are called summerwood.

  7. Step7

Read between the lines. Scientists use the annual rings to tell what the climate was like and what happened in the area. The wide rings tell us that it was a good growing season with plenty of rainfall. Darker areas mean that the tree wasn't growing much because of lack of nutrients and less sunlight. Other markings tell about floods, fires and insect damage.

Five Most Mystical Places of the World

The world around us is full of mysteries. There are things we believe in without even knowing about its existence. Science doesn’t always find an answer to all questions and that’s exactly why we still love to watch movies like “Lord of the Rings’ and read ‘Harry Potter’ numerous times. All mysterious things have a charm and the charm lies in the fact that we don’t know everything about it. From old civilizations to some of the cultural practices, mystery has been associated with every part of the world. There are innumerable places in the world which can be called mysterious for some reason or another. Let’s have a look at five of them which make it to the top.

Easter Island

Easter Island is one of the most isolated regions in the world, Easter Island makes to the top of the list. The region is full of giant volcanic rock statues called “moai”. The people of the island were called Rapa Nui and no one knows where they came from and where they vanished. The reason for the carving remains as unknown as the islanders. There have been a lot of research in finding out the stories behind these giant structures but there hasn’t been any concrete answer to this question.

The Pyramids of Giza

Located in the English country of Whltshire, Stonhenge is a one of the most famous prehistoric monuments in the world. What makes this place special is the circular setting of standing stones. The stone monument is believed to be erected near 2500 BC though there is no concrete proof the origin. The region lists in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.

The construction of the setting is quite impressive in itself considering the labor and time that went in making it. Stonehenge is believed to be a large earthwork constructed about 5000 years ago. The tools used are said to be equivalent to the earth digging and moving.

Castlerigg Stone Circle

This stone circle in Cumbria is an impressive pre historic monument in Britain. The stone circle is said to date back to 3200 BC and is a vision in itself. Not only is it flooded with tourists all around, it has also been a subject among archeologists. Apparently many of the stones of Castlerigg reflect features in the surrounding hills.

38 stones of different shapes and sizes form this circle. Some of the stones are as high as 5 feet. A mystery on how, when and why it was built, the Castlerigg is not a full circle and is flattened on the northeast. Inside the eastern side is a rectangular enclosure of about 10 stones. The purpose of this enclosure remains as mysterious as this whole structure.

Cenote in Mayan Civilization

Deep within the jungles of Mexico and Guatemala, this civilization flourished when Europe was still in the Dark ages. These people were the masters of mathematics and had mapped the heavens. These warriors called Maya had fought the Spanish. The cities were built with utmost perfection without any metal tool. The stone structures found in jungle talks about the genius they were. The Mayas are a mystery in themselves as such great architecture doesn’t seem to belong to that era.

The underground world called Cenote are water bodies which will make a chill rn down your spine if you manage to walk down the narrow stairs that led to this vertical hole. Nothing in the world can be more bizarre than the sight you see when you get used to light under 20 feet.

Jikalau.......
